Sorry but you don't understand Russia (you call only Russia to be "Eastern Europe?"). This doesn't matter that Russia was Christian, they always belonged to different civilization. Before the age of enlightenment Russia was also much different than other states of central-eastern Europe.

Humanism of enlightenment went beyond Catholic teachings. They tried to axe religion and replace it with sick humanism. During French revolution they even organised masses where they praised to humans. Anyway, there is nothing more disgusting than equality, every classical liberal or conservative must agree with such thesis.

I agree the French Revolution was terrible, taking its humanism too far and focusing on the wrong Enlightenment values (equality rather than liberty). But as I said, the Enlightenment was not one monolithic movement, with both classically liberal and liberal/equality-focused branches. There’s a lot of merit in the former.
