Hubby and I had dinner with our long time friends a few weeks ago and my friend remarked at how much she admired him for coming from nothing and accomplishing so much.
They haven't been willing to say they regret their vote (they are still in the 'blame Bush game') but they are starting to realize they made some foolish decisions and now they don't see anything good in their future. At least, I didn't say...'I told you so'!!
It would have taken a lot of self-restraint for me to not say something.
I have stopped being sensitive to the feelings of the people who I know voted for this disaster. I let them know what I think about the man they put in charge. All I get are sheepish looks.
