EPA Declares CO2 A Public Danger
businessinsider.com ^ | 03/23/09 | Jay Yarow

Posted on 03/24/2009 5:31:29 AM PDT by Abathar

The EPA has officially declared that CO2 is endangering the public's health and welfare. This means that there will be new pressure on businesses to cut their emissions.

It also sets the stage for cap and trade legislation:

WSJ: A finding that CO2 is a threat to public health and welfare also would ratchet up pressure on Congress to enact a system that caps greenhouse gases and creates a market for businesses to buy and sell the right to emit them, as President Barack Obama has proposed.

The EPA administrators should stop exhaling!

So the EPA wants the plants to stop breathing? It IS a two-way relationship we have with the plant world.

I guess this isn’t satire.

"..At this moment, the EPA is hopelessly politicized. In the wake of Carol Browner, it is probably better to shut it down and start over. What we need is a new organization much closer to the FDA.

We need an organization that will be ruthless about acquiring verifiable results, that will fund identical research projects to more than one group, and that will make everybody in this field get honest fast."

...Ahhh,yea...

...If we get rid of CO2 aren’t we going to kill off plant life, which in turn cuts off O2 and kills off animal life? Is it me???

I recently listened to a Mark Levin show when a self proclaimed “genius PHD College grad doctor” called in. Mark asked this “genius” to list the most abundant Green House gas in our atmosphere.

His instant reply was, “Of course! that would be Carbon Dioxide! Levin then asked this “genius” how he knew that, and he proclaimed; “Through years of intense knowledge and study, as well as a strong mental advantage that those years of study had yielded.

Levin stopped this arrogant fool right there and quickly pointed out that he was WRONG! The “genius” paused in surprise. It was then that Levin informed this pompous ass that Water Vapor is THE most abundant Green House gas in our atmosphere and is responsible for most ALL heat retention in the Stratosphere. And that CO2 is NOT a Green House gas at all. (Fully supported by all World atmospheric models since the beginning of time.)

Not one oxygen producing plant on Earth can survive without CO2 and that higher levels of it will not kill plant life, but increase it's output of Oxygen. (Scientific fact.)

The “genius” responded with another mutation of fact, which is when Lavin blew his cork and said; “GET OFF THE PHONE YOU BIG PHONY DOPE!”. I laughed till I required oxygen.

We are done with nice. Bring on the idjits and other liberals, communists, eco-wackos and amalgamated suchnesses. We are going off-grid, semi-remote to accept maintenance/custodian positions on a cattle ranch. The ranch has a backhoe. Patience is exhausted. We will resist to the extent we are capable of. Molon Labe. And so forth. I have heard that it isn’t bragging if you can do it and we can and will resist.

The Obama should lead by example: HE should stop breathing first. Idiots.

Of course, we also exhale water vapor.

CO2 is definitely a greenhouse gas --just not a very important one at such low concentrations like we have today.

Oxygen is a highly corrosive and flammable gas.

For instance the LOX tanks on the Shuttle launch vehicle.

The body actually burns the oxygen gas molecules.

And yes, too much is deadly.

This is either evidence of insanity or a deliberate attempt to destabilize the nation.

The correct answer is both.

Here comes the CAP and TRADE, folks!!!!!

Creating yet another lucrative and meaningless set of laws, which will just add more money to the market speculation game, and to the pockets of politicians.

I need to try and find the numbers but we need a somewhat narrow band of oxygen concentration in the atmosphere to survive. Too little and of course we die, too much and the air spontaneously combusts.

I'm expecting my seventh CO2 emitter in June.

And, yes, we're sliding down the slope quite rapidly now.
