One thing which people are forgetting is the fact that prior to the election genealogists traced the faamily trees and discovered that Dick Cheney was a distant relative of Jr. There is in fact a grain of truth to Cheney perhaps having a copy of Jr’s birth certificate. As a poster upthread suggested, the Soetoro name would be a reason to hide the original, but this can be discounted because a certificate with Soetoro on it would be a re-issued one after his adoption when Ann re-married. Much as we would like to speculate about the reasons he is simply being an SOB by not allowing DOH in HI to release the original publicly.
