Palin Goes After Media at GOP Dinner

(March 26) - Sarah Palin is teeing off on the media once again.

In a little-noticed speech to a GOP dinner in Alaska last week, Palin riffed for nearly an hour on a variety of topics — including her relationship with former McCain staffers, the Bush administration's anti-terror efforts, and actress Ashley Judd.

But the Alaska governor returned multiple times to the "unprecedented level of media slant" that she witnessed during her two-months on the Republican ticket with John McCain.

Her speech, delivered last Friday to the Anchorage Lincoln Day Dinner, was recorded by the Alaska Republican Party and posted online Tuesday.

Reflecting on the campaign, Palin said there were "a variety of reasons" Republicans lost in November, namely the faltering economy, but she seemed to place most of the blame on the press.

Could this be a new strategy? Since the media will NEVER be your friend, make them the enemy. When they say bad things about you then it can just be because the do not like you, so discard that thought.

Not sure how else we deal with MSM bias. Steele certainly is not up to the task ...

Yes. The media is the enemy. They are hostile to Conservatives, so why shouldn’t we be hostile to them? Call them out. Bypass them. Don’t play their game.

Conservative candidates should only go to friendly venues. The liberals do the same.

Palin should limit her appearances to Talk radio, Hannity, Glenn Beck and Greta etc.

Obama never came to FOX. He had a reason. When campaigning you go to friends.

I know... I hope for a better video as well. If you turn up the volume and speakers it becomes acceptably audible.

Sarah was not much of a factor. She helped bring in some conservatives who might have been tempted to sit out. But she also turned off a lot of people. I suspect she was a push at best. They lost because of the top of the ticket. He was horrible. Suspending his campaign was the death blow. He totally mishandled the situation. Sarah rallying the faithful was helpful, but not decisive.

“Palin/Bachmann 2012!”

Now THAT would be an awesome ticket! Bachmann could help us win Minnesota and other northern states.

Wrong. Without Palin, McLoser gets crushed. He got 55 million votes (?). Ten million of those people wouldn’t have crossed the street to shake his hand.

The Press HATES all republicans Sarah. It was your team mate that ruined any chance. And calling him a “maverick” 10 times a day did not help.

As the creator of Maxine once said, “A female president would only be a good idea if you wanted the country run right for some reason.”

(I think he was referring to HRC, as he said it in ‘07.)

“Not sure how else we deal with MSM bias. Steele certainly is not up to the task ...”

Follow the money. Go after the advertisers. Someone here used to post the advertisers of the MSM. What we do is get a template of a letter, sign it and mail it to each advertiser stating we will no longer purchase their product due to supporting un-American causes.

If say a product costs ten bucks and a hundred thousand letters are received, a million dollar loss in revenue is a
big deal. We go after the companies where that financial impact will destroy them.

That’s where we need to start. Also a sign in your yard saying “I will no longer buy XXX due to their support of anti-Aamerican causes” goes a long way.

I had my sign stolen a few times. But I also get knocks on my door supporting it.

####

Why the press can pick our candidate? A lazy, uninformed electorate.

...calling him a “maverick” 10 times a day did not help.

The PRESS called McCain a maverick - BECAUSE he stood up to Republicans.

The PRESS did NOT call Zell Miller a Maverick when he stood up to Democrats. The "press" turned their collective backs on Zell when he became a "maverick".
