Congressional Favorability Ratings - 60% View Pelosi Unfavorably (Rasmussen)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | March 27, 2009

Posted on 03/27/2009 3:08:59 PM PDT by Zakeet

Sixty percent (60%) of U.S. voters now have an unfavorable opinion of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, including 42% Very Unfavorable, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. A growing number of her doubters seem to be fellow Democrats.

While these are Pelosi’s highest negatives yet in the current session of Congress, Republican congressional leaders haven’t been the beneficiaries. Their numbers remain virtually unchanged.

Thirty-four percent (34%) have a favorable view of Pelosi, with nine percent (9%) Very Favorable. Just seven percent (7%) have no opinion of the speaker.

Two weeks ago, 36% viewed the San Francisco congresswoman favorably (15% Very Favorable) while 53% had an unfavorable opinion of her, including 37% Very Unfavorable. Eleven percent (11%) were undecided.

Fifty-seven percent (57%) of Democrats now view Pelosi favorably, including 16% who have a Very Favorable view. But in the previous survey, 65% of Democrats liked Pelosi, with 27% Very Favorable.

The same goes for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Forty-three percent (43%) of Democrats see him in a favorable light, including 11% Very Favorable. In the previous survey, Reid had 51% favorables, with 11% Very Favorable.

Among all voters, 29% have a favorable opinion of Reid, with six percent (6%) Very Favorable, and 45% view him unfavorably, with 28% Very Unfavorable. Twenty-seven percent (27%) don’t know enough about Reid to have an opinion of him. These numbers show little change from two weeks ago.

Bottom Line: Public opinion of Rat congressional leadership is dropping. Public opinion of Pubbie congressional leadership is holding steady. Both levels are terribly low.

Rats are now three points ahead in a generic congressional ballot.

I would love to hear from the idiot 34% who view her very favorably. I want to know why they view her favorably. The deliberate dumbing down of America, no doubt.

there are always about 40% who aren't paying attention.

99% of people paying attention have an unfavourable view of nazi pelosi.

the other 1% are the same old kook base that attend every march for whatever faggotry there is on the day, & post at DU etc.

It is a well accepted principle that people hate congress, but love their incumbent. The key learning from this is to have every GOP challenger run not against his direct opponent, but against Pelosi and Reid. If we can do that we will be very successful. Not only did it work for Newt’s Contract with America, but is the strategy the Dems used to run against Newt when the GOP was the majority party.

Since they’ve declared an end of the war on terror, they should take away Pelosi’s airplane.

It matters not, because we don’t get to vote on speaker.
The people(are they?) in her district elect her and then her idiot Rats elect her speaker. So hold the surveys..they are useless.

This is consistent with Michael Barone's reading of the polls, that 'rats are sinking but the GOP is no more popular than it was before. Ought to be a wake up call to the morons of the DC Country Club, that their feeble eunuch act is leaving votes on the table, but it probably won't be.

Most of them don't know who she is, but figure "what the hell give the woman a benefit of the doubt."

This is a chronic weakness of opinion polls--people will generate an opinion about anything, whether they know what it is or not-- just ask them. The stemcell polls were a classic example of this: "Research to find cures for dread diseases using embryonic stem cells" was endorsed by millions of totally ignorant fools who wouldn't have known an embryonic stem cell from a pipe stem. But their vote counts as much as yours or mine. Democracy--gotta love it.

"don’t forget the miles of column inches devoted to smear..."

That was necessary to bring him to a Pelosi-like condition in spite of his accomplishments. Pelosi has gotten herself into that condition in spite of the miles of column inches of favorable press. She and Harry are ripe for the plucking.

Yah think, she's been the horse ass face behind any presidential speech since she became the speaker of the house. Watch any videos after 2006. She is continuously stretching her bot ox injected face in the background of any speaker.

Sniper63

Watch the video of the state of the union address with Bush in 2006

She sure reminds me of the Applewhite guy that tried to catch the spaceship fallowing the comet. May be that her ship will come in.
