How about a “spontaneous gathering”?

How about a boycott of all businesses on that day to protest the mayor’s move against the Constitutional right to freedom of assembly? If it costs the city thousands of dollars in sales taxes, perhaps he wouldn’t think his strategy was so clever.
To: shove_it
If the right to freely assemble can be “canceled by the government! What other Constitutional rights will soon be “canceled by the government”.
All Hail Comrade Zero!

With all of that attention, the City of Cape Coral felt there could be more than 500 people attending the tea party."Hey Rahm! Nice work. That was easy. Now shut them the rest of them down. Soros says he doesn't want to hear about any more f**king tea parties!"

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

so much for the RIGHT of assembly...I never read anything about insurance in the Constitution...
In fact, I don't see these words - insurance, education, marriage, bailout, healthcare, etc., etc., enumerated as any kind of a right...

Don’t take it out on businesses. Take it out on the city where it belongs.

Change the venue from the park to city hall. Block the streets.
Print up some "We will be heard" signs to sprinkle in with the others.
Do you really think the original tea party was sanctioned by the government? Isn't that the point? How else will the government start taking these things seriously?
No violence. Lots of serious citizens. That's the way.

I wonder, if I were to hold a family picnic at the park, would I be required to insure the event?

in FL most county or city commissioners have a real job on top of their municipal posts.
Therefore arget the law firm or real estate company or business of those commissioners.

Dearest King George,
Please look favorably on our permit to assemble at the public pier. We have engaged Lloyd's of London to underwrite our event.
