Lets all let CBS 60 Minutes know that they really messed up, leaving the Odinga/Obama link out of this story!

Pfah. Regardless of what chemical is being used, I can name a chemical that will kill them deader than a wedge, and will never be banned:
automobile antifreeze (ethylene glycol). It is sweet, animals readily ingest it when it is laid out with bait and it ALWAYS causes renal failure.
By the time the animal is dead, it is so far away from any bait trap that it is impossible to prove intent or even the act itself.

Lets remember that ZERO OBAMA campaigned for and traveled with ODINGA thru out KENYA and announced ODINGA is his Cousin. ZERO OBAMA did this campaigning AS A U.S. SENATOR and usin g His TITLE as Leverage! CAMPAIGNING IN A FOREIGN ELECTION IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL FOR ANY U.S. OFFICIAL AND ESPECIALLY U.S. SENATORS!!

Unbelievable. A whole story about the type of poison that's used - used in a manner that it's not intended and clearly not used according to manufacturers instructions.
If the ranchers had used just plain old rat poison, would this even be a story to 60 Minutes? Probably not. Heck, they could pour coffee grinds on the carcasses. Coffee is HIGHLY toxic to felines of all sizes. Would 60 Minutes then do a 20 minute hit piece of Folgers Breakfast Blend?
Bob Simon is a putz. He's the guy who compared Israel's defense of it's citizens to apartheid in South Africa. No shame, no class and no clue for Mr. Simon.

The Odinga/Obama is a banned topic.

Why are they even doing a story on Kenya anyway? Oh, yeah, I forgot — our president is from there.

Bob Simon is the very essence of the guilty white liberal also— a year or two ago, he had the great Jay Z on and kept congratulating him on his wonderful “music”, participating in this puff piece that helped repackage this joker in an “interesting” biography.

"participating in this puff piece that helped repackage this joker in an interesting biography. Let me guess. Was this Jay Z autobiography coincidentally published by CBS Corporation's own publisher, Simon & Shuster?

Hey, I do not like it that lions are being deliberately poisoned, in Kenya, as a way to protect livestock. When guns and shovels are banned....

One does what one has to do to survive.
Put yourself in their shoes for a minute.

I agree, of course.
I would rather they SHOT the lions, as that would not endanger other animals.
Or, they could set up a government program to reimburse the ranchers for the livestock that is lost.
I am on the side of the tribesmen trying to feed the tribe.
I invite you to go read the CBS blog on this topic. Good grief, they come right out and say that they think lions are more important than people!

No, I wasn’t referring to a particular book or autobiography, and this Simon interview goes WAAAAYYYY back nearly 7 years, which is enough of a shock in that it makes you realize how long these people have been around making their stupid noises. But there are reasons why people appear on these shows, and it would likely be the most crassly commerical tie-ins being exploited. Same reason the same people are on magazine covers every month, month after month. It ain’t just coincidence, or “public service”.

That was a rather pointless piece. But it follows the same logical path that our society uses to place the blame for crimes on everyone except for the individual who actually committed the crime.

I am trying to argue on the CBS blog, under this story, but they seem to be pulling my posts!
Some idiot posted some Snopes piece that is garbage, denying the Obama/Odinga link, and I am having trouble posting that Snopes is lefty trash.
Gosh, all you have to do is type “obama odinga” into your browser and you can get lots of pictures of the two, together!~

I didn't watch this segment because I knew it would break my heart as I love and appreciate wildlife particularly the more majestic types such as African Lions or Indian Tigers.
It might be interesting to note that both the former Rhodesia and the former South Africa had by far the best conservation programs of any of the countries on the continent. The great beasts of Africa were flourishing in both countries and were to a very great degree protected from poachers. As least they were protected as best as they could be in such a vast area.
The conservation programs of both countries are destroyed by the change in governments. It was predictable. So all the World Wildlife Funds and other organizations run by good liberals who supported the changes this is what you get.

Yes
Some of the very worst environmental destruction of all time is found in the former Soviet Union.
Leftists hate capitalism, but they can not point to any statist regimes that do a better job for the environment.

"Some of the very worst environmental destruction of all time is found in the former Soviet Union. Great point. Look at China. How many babies died last year in China because of the contaminated baby formula? The Olympics were almost a bust because of the pollution. They had to CUT the algae out of the canoeing and kayaking venues because of the raw sewage that caused a algae bloom of near biblical proportions.
My favorite is the "Three Gorges Dam". It was/is apparently an ecological calamity. It couldn't have been built anywhere in the world except for China because of the absolute absence of environmental protection.
