Pittsburgh here..Listening to the incident on the scanner. Sounds like Snipers are moving into place. They see him but are holding fire.

While I agree with your sentiments, it is the police that are stupid for using an uncoded frequency in a case like this where the actor may also have a scanner.

Don’t you think the police ordered power to be cut to stop some of the flow of info? This makes me soooo angry that anyone would justify passing info like this during a live event. Perhaps you don’t have anyone you know protecting a city or a country?
This kind of strikes home, for my sister used to be a city police officer in that same area. And I have a friend who is a city Officer who I think might be there.
Pray for the brave men and women who are the thin blue line.
For the media, if it bleeds, it leads. they care more for ratings than lives.

Seeing anyone posting police/military movements is wrong and dangerous. I would think a FReeper would err on the side of caution.
