Would be nice to have a president with a healthy dose of skepticism.

A least this old ex-Swabby gets it. Solar radiation is what matters. If he is right then it will not be pretty. Get your ammo now.

If you look at the sunspot data, the last four cycles look almost exactly like the four cyles before the Dalton Minimum occured. Not earth shattering cold, but chilly.
Of course if you look at the temperature data for the last few hundred of thousands of years, it looks like we are overdue for another major glaciation too.

This can’t be true. The science is settled. The sun’s activity doesn’t matter; only battery-powered cars and fluorescent light bulbs matter.

The nice result of global warming, if it existed at all would have been longer better growing seasons. Corn don’t grow in snow...

Please....this guy is an idiot...the sun has nothing to do with a changing climate....only human driven SUV’s, factories and Big Oil can alter the historical patterns of the earth heating and cooling....everyone knows that.....

Here is the current image from spaceweather.com.
One of the problems I have with current sunspot record keeping is that we are using technology now that was not available to observers in the past. In particular the Dalton Minimum did not count many of the proto and actual sunspots that have been counted over the past two years.

Down one path lies monstrous solar storms. Down the other path lies several decades of crushing cold temperatures and global famine.doomed. Also, Obama's fault.

Unfortunately, all this really shows is how little we
all really know!
Let’s see, the earth will contract if
the environment is a bit colder, adding to tectonic
shifts, with more earthquakes, volcanism, and more
particles in the atmosphere, which will warm the earths
surface...and then with the excess meteor dust the earth
picks up, and the sun picks up, the earths mass will increase,
the suns’ mass will get smaller(the meteor pickup is
negated by the sun losing mass as it nuclear burns up),and
the net effect will be that the earth will be a bit closer
to the sun as before(due to higher gravitational attraction)
Then the temp will really go up, causing more water in the
atmosphere, which will shield us from the suns heat, and
we’ll be the same temp as we were before, only the ones who
have evolved an air conditioning and heating unit will do
better...(oh, we got those things already?...you mean sweat,
and shivering?)
Just kidding.
Pass me the marshmallows, or the popsicle....

This simply cannot be! The global warming argument is over; the science is settled. Global warming is a fact that we must deal with!
I know because Dr. Heidi Cullen said so!
