Re:Bristol TN/VA Tea Party Had a pretty good turnout considering the weather was cold and windy. There would have been a lot more but for the fact that there was not a lot of promotion of the event. Most people were at work since this was at 11:30. People were driving by blowing their horns and waving at us. This is a very conservative area so we were well received. I had a HUGE sign (about 3 x 5) that 4 good-looking guys voluteered to help me hold. I had enough room on my sign to put about 15 different slogans most tax related, but, I got one in there about our president bowing to a king. I got interviewed by the local radio guy. He seemed to like the part of my sign that read: Brain Dead Government- Remove Tax Support!! He heard me talking about the DHS memo that declared us all dangerous radicals that need to be watched and interviewed me about that. He asked me if I thought that I was on the list. I said " I don't know, but, if I am, so be it." I added that I'm not scared of them and they can't stop us. I also, made the point that the liberals can go out and protest and do whatever they want and nothing is said. Just let us exercise our 1st amendment rights and they panic. I might go to the ˚Kingsport party this afternoon after I get back in from work. If I do I'll do an update.

I’m goint to the Kingsport Party this afternoon. it will be the only gathering here of conservatives in my memory.

I printed up a few hand bills to recruit folks to Free Republic.

I’ll be the really good looking old guy if you get to come

Re: Bristol Tennessee/Virginia tea party I forgot to mention that we all met at one location and since the state line runs right down the middle of town, we were split into two separate groups. One went to the Virginia side of town and the other went to the Tennessee side. There was aprox. 100 people (maybe more) on the Tennessee side and probably about the same on the Virginia side. I went back to work and mentioned to a couple of collegues about attending the tea party and either got a blank stare or they thought that I was talking about really drinking tea. We really need to get our message out to the people who are not paying attention to what is going on.
