So, how long to pay off for all the stuff the feds have there?
Or, did you think you owned it all? ALA Hugo Chavez?
Everyone paid for NASA, not just Texans. How are you going to pay for those who like America but live in Texas? Are you going to buy them out at market price? Or, are you going to steal it? What if individual counties don’t want to secede, do you crush them? Or will it be like Virginia and West Virginia?

You get back to us on how much it all comes to, pay for it, then you can have it.

Until then why don’t you fight for America? Conservatives love their country. Socialists hate it. Marxists hate it. Communists hate it. The left hates it.

Americans don’t hate it. Conservatives don’t hate it. So let’s knock of the BS and work on the basics.

More than 52% of Americans do not believe in the country.

I prefer to undock Texas from the sinking Federal ship and watch as the inevitable progresses and the people eventually figure out what they did when they elected the Obamanation.

When they figure this out and revolt, they will need leadership, technology, aid, and governance. The Republic of Texas can provide that.

Also, something you seem to forget. Texas has nuclear weapons.

Also, at the rates we intend to charge the rest of you for our petroleum and gas (we’d be joining OPEC), it’d take all of, oh, three days to pay for all of it.

Texas has the money to pay for these things you mention because unlike many other states, we are fiscally conservative, which has lead to a very large surplus.

Easy, the post is tongue in cheek and the point is that Texas can support itself because it is a conservative state run by conservatives with very limited government. We only let them meet for 140 days on odd numbered years and they have to be re-elected every 2 years. If they don't finish in 140 days, too damn bad. We do give the Governor the power to recall them for 30 days for a special session, but they are only allowed to discuss and vote on what the Governor called them for, and, that is the only real power we actually give the Governor. The rest is held by other elected officials. The state right now is operating with an $11 Billion surplus and we manage to provide excellent medical care to the uninsured through Hospital tax districts that are able to discount medical services to the poor in our districts without forcing others to pay for services they don't use.

And most importantly, we have the Cowboys

Pay for it? Better idea - You come and try to take it.

Texas is what America used to be. Until the rest of america gets its' act together, I say we prepare to go it alone, just in case.
