Looking at this sideways, this is what goes on in universities. To get a good grade, or keep your scholarship, or graduate, or graduate with a good recommendation, you are expected to follow the party line.

In this case, everyone knows she didn’t get the crown because of her personal ethics and political outlook.

But this is how Mat Lauer and Katie Couric keep their jobs, by spouting the correct rhetoric and ideology on cue. This is how “jornalists” start off from college, some employer like the Glob or LATimes asking the prof, is this guy reliable? Is he a liberal we can trust?

Good for Miss California, for her integrity and for helping expose how things work.

Universities a.l.w.a.y.s. go out of their way to discover conservative faculty and staff should one make it through the interview process.

Then ostracizing said person begins...
