It had no point being fought in the first place. This is a trampling of citizen rights.

In order to rid our nation of the scourge of drugs we should put every person who has ever smoked pot in prison for the next 50 years! That will show them that we are serious about the War on Drugs! /satire

I am happy to know that you support government oppression and denying us liberty. How the hell did we survive for 200 years without the government outlawing drugs!?!?!

Dear God, we were just ignorant. Oh help us government!!! Help us!!! We have no idea of what the whacko weed can do!!!

I have a son at Colorado - a grad student who saw nothing of this party on campus since he was actually working in his office. There are people like that on campus there, living in a separate reality — mostly guys in the sciences, I’d bet. My son did have to dodge drugged drivers on his way to and from his apartment. What we don’t get at all is the passive attitude of law enforcement and the university administration, regents, faculty, and ultimately, the Colorado taxpayers.

What a dumb argument. Burglary is illegal, but the WOB is a dismal failure - legalize it. Robbery is illegal, but the WOR is a dismal failure - legalize it. Murder is illegal, but the WOM is a dismal failure - legalize it. Rape is illegal, but the WORape is a dismal failure - legalize it. After all, the only things these laws do is oppresse us. Next argument from you is that drug use does not injure anyone - try working in public schools and seeing first hand the damage that drug use does not cause our children. Stop being stupid.

1812 December 12. (Jefferson to Jeremiah Goodman). “Sow about half an acre of hemp.”

“The greatest service which can be rendered any country is to add a useful plant to its culture.”

Thomas Jefferson

“Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country.” -Thomas Jefferson

“Make the most of the hemp seed, sow it everywhere.”

George Washington

The Declaration of Independence is written on 100% hemp paper.

Where does the Constitution delegate to fedgov the power to impose a nationwide prohibition on marijuana, in your opinion?

Do you think the Constitution authorizes fedgov to fight a national war on rape, murder, and burglary?
