When my father was in college he had to take a friend to the emergency room. While he was waiting, a guy walked in with a knife sticking out of his head. The receptionist asked what happened and he said, “I got stobbed.”

If I were to do the deed, I too would want to be certain I wouldn’t fail.

I love skeet surfing! "I got a gun rack in my Chevy for when the surf and the flak get heavy..."

Did you know that is really Val Kilmer singing all the songs in that movie?

Yeah, that was before he became a kook here in New Mexico. Now he just goes around telling people that he knows more about killing than a Vietnam vet because he played Doc Holliday in Tombstone.

knew about.........Do you think he would have left evidence (hidden) or sent evidence to someone he trusted if he thought his life was in danger?

Does this only happen in novels? lol

I'm certainly no authority on the subject, but don't males usually kill themselves away from their families? It seems very odd that he did this in the middle of the night while his wife and children were presumably sleeping.

No, and I unfortunately have knowledge in that area. A very good friend of my family got up in the middle of the night, kissed his wife and told her he loved her and then went to another bedroom and sometime later shot himself in the head. He had been suffering a lot of mental problems and insomnia and had occasionally been sleeping in the other room, so she didn't think anything of it and went back to sleep. She didn't hear the gunshot, either.

That's interesting and tragic. It goes to show you how perception really can be counter to reality.

He was one of the funniest, most gregarious people you would ever meet. A really good guy. He was a 747 captain and when he had some health problems and they grounded him, he thought they would never let him fly again. He just eventually snapped.

Now hanging yourself and then shooting yourself (especially in the head) certainly enhances your chances of success.

So would taking a massive dose of sleeping pills.

Yep, and you know he would win too. Richardson says he’s qualified because he played Batman.

Really even Kilmer would be an improvement over Richardson.

There is no way we can look at everything obama is doing to this country, the problems with Freddie Mac and think there was another reason for the ending of this life. Which ever way it happened he either knew too much or was troubled by what had been done and what would be revealed.

One thought that came to mind was maybe bonus money was part of a a lavish lifestyle and now it appeared bonus would be scaled back? But I have not looked at any of that so it is just a thought.

May you rest in peace and may your family find strength to get through this tragic death. God Bless!
