One has to consider that China depends on the sea-lanes for the transport of oil, as they have limited domestic sources of petroleum....hence they are in a similar position as Germany, and Japan in the 30s....totally depended on sea transport, therefore very vulnerable to naval blockades....

We need naval parity, we should give the Chi-Coms two or three of our carriers and train there pilots and crew. I think that would be fair. /sarc
