Agreed. I spoke out against those abuses when they went down.

Unfortunately, not enough did so, and here we are!

[Keeping Bush in the news cycle so Obama can get a free pass to “change America”. . .]

Exactly. Set fire to the theater two minutes before you rob the bank. The Democrats and their patrons will siphon off billions from the “Stimulus,” the bailouts and the carbon emissions rackets. And once they complete their takeover of the financial sector they can loan themselves money, forgive the debts of their friends and foreclose on their enemies.

Real objective isn't he? Define the policymakers wrongly as lawbreakers, then ask them how they could justify it. I suppose we'll see him on the hangin' commission.

Yes, he's made up his mind. "So, why did you create these illegal policies?"......similar logic to "So, when did you stop beating your wife?"

What Hussein and his boys were doing, was torture. I don’t hear any of the mamby pambies talking about that. The beheadings by the terrorists, you strangely don’t hear the rights folks talking about that. You hear them talking about panties on heads and social mind games like nudity, and verbal tactics of humiliation.

I haven’t heard of the electricity torture, concerning anyone but Hussein and his boys. I wonder if this guy has gone off his rocker.

I am sure that torture leaves some people very bent. Then other people go through it and seem to be able to deal with it.

Another fag who has been anally probed so many times it has affected his thinking. There is no torture and if there were it would not be severe enough for the muzzy terrorists.

Traitor he is.

The difference between Bush's using a power specified for enemy combatants who were fighting and killing our troops on the field of battle, and used to imprison those involved in terror plots against US citizens, and Obama's going after the previous administration for policy differences is rather significant, is it not?

We are not dealing with the same issue here. It is not the same "power" at work, IMO.

It was not a quest for power that resulted in the Bush policy to put terrorists in prison. It was a desire to keep America safe - which succeeded.

Economys down the tubes. US Navy cant take on a couple of somali pirates. National security is under a cloud.

What to do? DISTRACT THEM WITH BUSH! Its gonna start looking pretty, pretty old, pretty, pretty soon.

Cant fool all of the people all the time!

It’s almost like the Left won’t be satisfied until Bush & Cheney are publicly hanged.

And even that only would hold them till a new scapegoat came along.

I seem to recall that during the Clinton administration
the left had an extreme distaste for what they called at the time “old news” and they all had a deep desire to “move on”. Wonder what happened to that?

As we both know, “Move ON” applies only to the sins of the left.

The politicization by the democrats of the military continues. I bet he was promoted up the ranks by successive democratic administrations. Obama Zero does not fear a coup because all the generals are on his side.

“It was not a quest for power that resulted in the Bush policy to put terrorists in prison. It was a desire to keep America safe - which succeeded.”

I’m not arguing that Bush abused the power to go after those who disagreed with him politically. I’m saying that when you grant the President the power to determine who is an enemy of America and then also the right to imprison that person indefintely with no recourse, then you have given the Presidency tyrannical power that someday will be abused. I mean, do you feel comfortable with O having that power?

For sometime now we have had generals promoted to key positions by political criteria. The left has known for some time that they needed to infiltrate the military just as they have every other institution. This is a pattern that was in practice in latin America for the last 25 years. Of course the left here paid attention. When democrats take over they fire or sack all republicans. Reagan biggest mistake was not to sack everyone in the state and defense departments. Of course Antonio Gramsci won’t get any credit for this, they will give it to that phony Alinski. The only way to fight back is to play the same game, infiltrate them, target, isolate and liquidate. Lessons from the Argentine dirty war.

I understand that, guns. My argument is that President Bush's determination that enemies trying to destroy us need to be imprisoned is not a precedent for this particular brand of abuse.

For me, in wartime, it is not a "tyrannical power" for the Commander in Chief to have the power that President Bush obtained, and I think that Obama's abuse here is unrelated to the wartime power of President Bush.

Frankly, the solution is to never ever again elect a Marxist tyrant as President. Even Bill Clinton wouldn't abuse power like Obama is doing.

Eventually, someone comes along and abuses all the power that is available to him. That’s why the constitution limits the power of the government, from President to Congress.

If you never had tyrants, there would be no need for restraints on power, but eventually, they always come.
