I believe it’s a way of thinking that makes me conservative.
It’s a thought process, an awareness of and resistance to false logic.
I suppose that’s why I find myself to be interested in arguments of all kinds.
I love a good argument the same way many love a good football game.
I’m what many on free republic would call a lurker, but I see myself as more of a sniper, a sniper of false logic and fallacious arguments.
I don’t claim to be good at it, just aware of it, and I love to point it out.
As far as I’m concerned there is a mental process to arrive at a good understanding of any issue that needs to be followed, there are no shortcuts.
The inclusion of even a miniscule bit of fallacious logic in your argument diminishes the results and invalidates your opinion, it is in our best interest
to identify and elliminate false logic from our arguments. If you come to the right conclusion based on the wrong reasons you are still wrong.
