Whats-his-face had Julie Gerberding resign when his administration came in so now we don’t have a Secretary of Health & Human Services, nor do we have a Surgeon General. Hence Napolitano, who is clueless. God I hope the GOP is asking urgent questions. Here we are almost in May with the DHS seriously undermanaged and understaffed.

Incompetent does not even begin to describe Napolitano.
She punted the main question under her jurisdiction (one of only two good questions from the usual dolt press corps) on bioterrorism to her underling at CDC.
The 64 thousand dollar question (the other good one asked) was why the dying in Mexico and not here so far- and relatively milder symptoms etc.. Bressor said there are “hypothesises” but no conclusions yet.
Napolitano is a natural disaster.
In almost all these cases, it’s an overreaction. Of course, that is not necessarily wrong. Better safe than sorry, so to speak.
The media should have learned that a new pandemic just isn’t going to happen though. (In the western world that is)
