"Has this bastion of higher learning ever heard of the First Amendment?"

You do know, of course, that the First Amendment only applies to the Federal Government?
That your First Amendment rights are not abridged if, for example, I refuse to let you deliver a speech in my front yard?

Have you ever heard that the First Amendment only applies to the government, and not to private entities like Providence College.

Are you saying that a private college affiliated to a church is required to allow someone to speak there whose views they don't want to hear? Freedom of religion comes under the first amendment too (for the time being, until "hate crimes" legislation nullifies it).

I'm afraid more bishops care about the rights of illegal aliens than are willing to do more than give lip service to the pro-life cause. Otherwise the list of bishops denouncing the University of Notre Dame would be much longer.

“Bastion of higher learning”? I know a basketball player that went there (late 50’s) who couldn't read, spell, or pass practical math! Have they changed?

I hope that Notre Dame gets the message.....there is no good reason for any University to honor Obama let alone Notre Dame.
