Israeli Health Minister Yakov Litzman has been updating a nervous public on the swine flu epidemic - and he started by renaming it for religious reasons.
"We will call it Mexican flu. We won't call it swine flu," said Mr Litzman, who belongs to the ultra-religious United Torah Judaism party.

Man, I love the Israelis and the Jewish people. I don’t mind a bit that they call it the Mexican flu or any other thing they want to call it but you can’t deny its origin.
It is, in fact “Swine” flu.
One of my Russian friends sent me an English text from some Russian website - they called it a “human swine flu”.
Since nowhere else that article tried to be funny or to hint at who would exactly be that “human swine”, I decided that it was just a bad translation...

In all fairness it was first swine flu from all I’ve heard. Besides, seems kind of racist to pick on the poor Mexican’s like that. It makes me feel bad for Speedy Gonzales and Nacho Libre, not to mention all those ‘day-laborers’ out keeping America’s jobs warm for them while they contemplate their economic position.
I think we should call it something scientific sounding like Swinavisapeinitis.
Or maybe Bob... or Jose’.
How about the Obama-nation flu?

I woke up this morning feeling fine. After lunch, I felt a strange compulsion to break out two Coronas; and a little salt and lime. All was good. After about two hours I sneezed. Thinking nothing of this, I wandered outside. Suddenly I was wallowing in the mud and the voices in my head told me to crap on the windshield.
Thank goodness that the county health department showed up and tested me. Hours later they confirmed via the CDC that I was indeed infected with the Mexi-swine-avia-flu and had to send 40% more of my money to the government.
Just kidding. Except for the more money part. If we do not send more money to the incompetent Mexican government, there might be more airplanes flying into buildings in New York. Oh wait..........
Well, they've gone from unkosher to Un-PC. But Mexi-Flu is about what it should be called, especially since swine flu is a term that's been around for years and this the new flu is significantly different from the old swine flu.
