He made it up. I write for the Malden Observer. If I wrote something like that, it would be my last column.

To begin with, I should be upset there's a movie dedicated to this. To out someone is a bit of a faux pas, and this movie probably doesn't help the queer cause. At the same time, it kind of makes the director of the film, Kirby Dick, look like the same four-letter word that is also his last name.

I thought the author wrote that important Americans don't wear tiaras?

Plus, he doen't seem to be aware that Miss California finished 2nd.

We complain about gays flaunting their homosexuality then we complain that they have a secret lifestyle. If a guy/gal is gay but every other thing in their life is conservative what are they to do. Do we just tell them sorry go be a democrat. I admit it would be better if they were up front but it is a difficult thing to do.

“I have never seen such a railroading of justice since the Duke rape accusations.”

I thought about that too until I read the police report. Larry Craig actually moved his foot into the other stall and touched the other guys foot. Then he rubbed his hand along the bottom edge of the stall panel as some kind of signal. If you read the police report, there is no way all this stuff could be coincidence. I can’t imagine my foot going over into another person’s toilet stall and touching them, much less grabbing the bottom of the divider. This stuff is just too creepy for a normal person to be doing in a dirty toilet stall.

“If a guy/gal is gay but every other thing in their life is conservative what are they to do.”

If a guy/gal is an abortion doctor but every other thing in their life is conservative what are they to do.

If a guy/gal is an environmental wacko but every other thing in their life is conservative what are they to do.

If a guy/gal is a feminazi but every other thing in their life is conservative what are they to do.

I don't want to beat this dead horse to much but isn't this whole story dependent on the validity of the report. This would not be the first time a politician was framed. He could be guilty as sin or he could have been set up. Could be the worst thing he did was plead to a misdemeanor just to get ot to go away.

I did not know that. But isn’t it hypocritical of the Left to castigate an adult male looking for a consensual relationship with another adult? Where is the crime? I’m not saying it is wrong, it is just that left leaning pundits and comics took potshots at this guy for what. Being gay?

Larry Craig, too, has advocated legislative action that hinders his own sexual adventures

I wonder about this. Did he advocate legislation against homosexual behavior?

How about advising them to abstain from homosexual sexual activity as celibate Christian singer David MacDonald advocates is his piece “Gay Sex is Downright Dangerous and Abstinence Won’t Kill You: I Should Know.”-

Discussed on this thread

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2204723/posts

Mr. MacDonald’s quote here is very good:

“The culture of pushing sex down people’s throats is not working. There is nothing wrong with abstinence from sex. This goes for everyone who is not married to someone of the opposite sex. I’ve been single and chaste for many years after having left the gay community. You don’t die from not having sex.”

Alas, Mr. MacDonald has too much integrity and common sense for most in today’s culture.

I suppose there is no chance we would be fortunate enough that this would be his last column?
