Well, I sure learned my lesson about Mitt the hard way. Even after Mittwits trashed Fred Thompson lasst time, I was willing to give him a chance. I had been for George Allen first, then became a Frederalist after the macaca hit the fan.

But after Fred showed that he really didn’t want to POTUS all that much, I freaked out. It was down to Mitt, Huck and McStain, and I figured that Mitt was the lesser of those three evils. I was wrong. Huck was the lesser of those three evils, but none of the three was worth supporting.

Even after some Mittwits did their PhoneyFred smear website and started a campaign of lies about Fred, I was willing to support Mitt as a last resort. Yes, I even supported him as a potential VP pick for McCain - anything to keep Comrade Obama out of the White House.

Then I learned that Sarah Palin, who I had been led to believe was out of the running, was actually still being considered as a potential McCain running mate, and I gave her my support. And I’m still supporting her.

But I still didn’t think Mitt was a bad guy - just that ssome of his supporters were real snakes in the grass. Then I learned that the McCain staffers who were whispering lies about Gov. Palin into the ears of the drive-by media dogs had come to Team McCain from Romney’s organization.

Bingo! Same tactics that they used against Fred, and probab ly the same individuals. Some of these people, when mentioned in news stories, are described as “former Bush aides” - but they are Mittwits first and foremost.

They slimed Fred, and then they slimed Sarah. I learned my lesson. You can’t trust anyone from Romney’s Team. They will stab any perceived opponent in the back and then turn the knife. No sleazy campaign tactic is beneath them. They will work with the Democrats to take out a perceived GOP opponent.

This has nothing to do with Mitt’s religion. He could be a sun worshipper for all I care. It’s about his thirst for power. He will say or do anything to get power, even if it involves the politics of personal destruction and ruins someone else’s reputation.

Same goes for McCain. He let Obama win by refusing to take the issue of Jeremiah Wright to Obama. Perhapos even that wouldn’t have made the difference in the last election, but McCain could have at least tried, and he refused to do so.

I’m for Palin. She’s the only politician I trust anymore. the rest of ‘em can go to the devil.

Finally, I don’t think Mitt has a snowball’s chance in hell next time. He had all the money in the world last time, and he still couldn’t even beat a washed-up old coot like McCain. But if by some subterfuge he does get the GOP nomination, “I won’t get fooled again.”

Mittwits tirelessly defend this guy, but they can’t defend what was done to Fred and Sarah by their fellow Mittwits.

It would be so cool if you were against all RHINOS and not just Mormon ones.

Gov. Palin gave her speech at the convention with a broken teleprompter and energized the nation.

She is the real deal when it come to conservatives.

“Ok, we’ll start at the bottom of my long list and work our way up crossing off those we find unacceptable. The last conservative standing will be our endorsee.

Let’s see now... How about REPUBLICAN Senator Olympia Snowe?”

Olympia Snowe?! I thought this was going to be a serious conversatioin, but apparently I was wrong. Why would we waste time discussing the many reasons for NOT supporting Snowe when my suggestion was to find someone who would be a good conservative candidate. If you aren’t aware of Snowe’s record, you might want to do some research on her.

I would have probably held my nose and voted for Mitt last Nov. but at this point there is absolutely no point in working with people like him.

Post of the day, except you can insert any number of names there: Mitt, Huckaby, Rudy, etc...

“Well, support RINOs then. Just know that some of us will not do so under any circumstances.

But frankly, I find it shocking that you can survey the wrechage created by years of the compromise of principle and then reach the conclusion that the answer to cleaning up the mess is more compromise.”

I never said I wanted a “RINO” candidate. I made a comment about rino VOTERS. Are you being purposefully rude or did you really not comprehend my points thus far?

John McCain is a Mormon?

And Specter and Snowe etc. are also all LDS?

Who knew?

Your schtick is getting real old and incredibly transparent

Hey, we’re just showing that some Republicans are unacceptable and can easily be eliminated due to their RINO positions.

Jumping over Collins, Specter, Graham, et al, how bout Romney? I vote no because of his abominable abortionist/socialist record. How about you?

Don’t listen to him. He’s not even a registered Republican.

Therefore, any commentary on who is and is not a “Republican In Name Only” is utterly irrelevant.

Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah

With the (continuing) support of good and decent Americans we will have the opportunity to again vote for Sarah. Only next time she will be at the top of the ticket.

Besides some of Mitts views, he has 5 sons who never served in the Military.

Sarah Palin’s oldest son is in the Army in Iraq serving his country.

Dear Freepers:

We are still in April 2009. It is way too early to know who is going to be in or who is going to be out by 2012.

I wish that Romney would build up some experience of conservative governance. Moving back to his old home of Michigan, nowhere near as liberal as Massachusetts, running for that's state governorship, and governing as a low tax, pro-family, limited government conservative would do wonders for his reputation. Though her record is not perfect, Palin has considerable practical experience in conservative governance. Republican voters are less likely than their Democrat counterparts to be swayed by good looks and smooth talk. If Romney wants to be President, he has to survive the primaries. The best way to win them is to build up conservative credibility by actions and not words.

“If Palin is such a Reagan in drag then why would she jump on board a McLame ticket?”

If Reagan was such a Reagan they why did he pick GHW Bush to be his running mate?

Answer: Political pragmatism - to balance the ticket.

“Acorn, and the MSM had everything to do with, why we got Obama.”

That was a huge part of it, that’s for sure. Not the only stone in the stew though.
