NPR has learned that Supreme Court Justice David Souter is planning to retire at the end of the court's current term.

The replacement Obama picks will make us long for the days of Souter. Even Clintoon had to deal with a functional group of Senate Republicans. Obama will be able to put anyone through. And looking at Obama’s policies thus far, it is clear that Obama lives about as far left as anyone possibly can, so expect the Souter replacement to be out there also.
God only know what filthy swine Obama will appoint.

Y’know, I was thinking about this yesterday, but you know who is very capable of causing trouble for the Dems; Good Ole Senator Byrd.
While the guy is usually in the tank with the Dems, Byrd can be a spoiler on socially conservative issues, including abortion and gay rights. Maybe something worth praying on.
I know in my heart that Bob Casey will roll over and do whatever the Dem leadership asks of him. What a disgrace to his father’s memory.
I’m surprised so many are lamenting the loss of Souter. His departure simply means his seat will remain in leftist hands. No change.

I haven’t read all the posts on this thread so I don’t know of this has been mentioned. My feeling is that ANY hope that the birth certificate issue was going to seriously addressed is now dead. That issue will not be brought up, especially now with a zer0 appointee coming on the bench. so it was a nice dream while it lasted. The last chance to get rid of this marxist has officially been removed.
