I wasn’t a big fan of President Bush on alot of issues. I always saw him as a moderate Democrat rather than a conservative.
BUT.....God I miss him now!
I’m happy to say I have never, in my almost five years and 6000 posts on FR, bashed President Bush or VP Cheney.
I’m happy to see you realize what we have lost; that’s usually how it works.
They are AMERICANS. That sentiment is sorely lacking nowadays amongst politicians.
I think you are in a position that many are; they may not have agreed with all of his policies but appreciated the basic goodness and a genuine wish to serve rather than govern with a real sense of concern and care for ordinary people.
