Where’s the “DIVERSITY”?

I think he’s truly terrified of having to answer a hard question on his policies.

"We don’t really even have a two-party system — they have merged into elements of the same, with minor differences."

That's exactly right. We no longer have two parties. On one hand, we now have a political ruling class, and those that depend on it, and on the other hand we have folks like us that produce thinks and provide life to the other. I just wonder how long the political class and their dependents can ride this wave of debt, ever expanding government, and welfare state until they kill the 'host' on which they feed.

They all only want to “make a difference” - the official liberal mantra. Trouble is that they don’t say what sort of a difference they want to make. Just saying it is to them enough and, oh, so uplifting. Good intentions and all that.

“How many reporters have said to him, you know, “so why are you releasing these terrorists in the United States?” How many reporters have said to him, you know, “why are you so confused about whether or not you want to in fact go after and prosecute people who’ve never historically been prosecuted before?”

Obama will release the terrorists among us and prosecute those who have kept the country safe from the terrorists.

Sure because he can’t possibly DEFEND HIS POLICIES WITH ANY LOGIC OR COMMON SENSE!

I quit buying newspapers. I can get all the information I need online. The newspapers can all go out of business as far as I am concerned. These hacks can get in the unemployment lines.

Classic stuff, Ron. And we both came to the same conclusion and recognized the Miss California stand because it jumps off the page as so obvious. Truthfully, I know that a major portion of this country believes as we do, in fact, a solid majority. That Bush had a 94% approval rating for months after 9-11 verifies that. When it gets really serious and the country is faced with genuine threat, people come clean. But as you said, the intimidation factor in play right now is very strong. We need to be strong in response.

The problem is that Newt is like an aging Babe Ruth. He strikes out way too often, but when he get a hold of one he hits it out of the park.

I loved reading Bernard Goldberg’s book “A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (And Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media”.

That Bush had a 94% approval rating for months after 9-11 verifies that

That's a good point. WTSHTF, we'll probably see a lot of the people jump onto our side.

I guess what we have to figure out is how to keep them there

In my view, the fact Bush was successful in keeping terrorist attacks at bay bred the complacency toward security and the threats we see now. It's like a no win situation, especially when the left is out there basically saying 911 was an anomaly and Bush used it as an opportunity "fear mongering" to strip us of our rights. And of course we all know Bush lied about the whole thing anyway.

They were quite effective with that and I don't know how you combat it with an American Idol mentality that unfortunately is all too prevalent today.

Thomas Jefferson said that freedom requires eternal vigilance, but how do we get that across to the majority of citizens who really can't even define freedom, at least how the Framers defined it.

If we are to combat this politically, we have a very difficult problem and very few out there that seem to want to articulate it.

The ones who do, we will be told by the GOP and unfortunately too many FReepers can't win so it's a throw away vote and waste of time. I pray we are never faced with the dilemma/suicidal ticket of a zer0 vs. McCain again. (My soul is still aching after that vote)

I would personally like to see more of Tom McClintock, Michele Bachmann and their brand of conservatism out there for all to see.

I see too many problems to overcome without some divine help, that's if he still deems us worthy, I pray he does.

Sorry for the rambling rant/not very positive post

The country is about primed for some real straight-talking individuals to step up, and to do so aggressively. And then we have to support those people aggressively, and with force if need be. The left is a bunch of pussies, frankly. A bunch of fruits, wussy college professor-types, weaselly media people, corrupt judges, and on and on. None of these groups ever deals with a genuine threat, due to the decency and ridiculous tolerance levels in this country. So those groups have taken full advantage of this country’s virtue and have used it against us. They don’t fear reprisals. They are going to, and soon. And watch how quickly they scatter from the mainstream once we challenge and shut them down.

Good summation.

I guess at this point, being prepared and standing ready is all we can do.

Not to be cliche, but we really are living in an interesting time.

Good chatting with you, I've got to get some chores done. See you on the board FRiend!

We ought to refer to these morons in the media as the press WHORE corps.

I refer to them as the Liberal Advocacy Network. They stopped being news reporters & journalists some time ago which is why Fox News and talk radio have emerged as the place to go if you want to know what’s going on in this country and around the world.
