Rep. Virginia Foxx said in an interview with WXII12 News Friday that she regrets making comments about the Matthew Shepard Bill and plans to move ahead with her work in Congress.
The Fifth District congresswoman has been under fire for calling the gay man's 1998 beating death a "hoax"....

Did she ever explain what she meant by calling it a hoax? Does she not think Shepard is actually dead?
She was probably referring to the 20/20 report.
She said nothing wrong. She spoke the truth. Matthew Sheppard was killed for robbery purposes and the Libs and the homosexual lobby have been spreading the hoax of a gay martyr ever since.
The hoax is the meme that he was targeted solely for being gay, rather than as a drug deal gone wrong.
The hoax was that he was killed becuase he is a homosexual. That had nothing to do with it....he was robbed and killed as unfortunately happens every day hundreds of times in this country.

I don’t believe I see the Congresswoman’s party in the article. That must mean (D)?
“Never let a crisis go to waste.”
I don’t believe I see the Congresswoman’s party in the article. That must mean (D)?
GOP.
Read the article twice and unless the (D) is buried in there someplace I didn’t see what party ....
The Fifth District congresswoman has been under fire for calling the gay man's 1998 beating death a "hoax" instead of a hate crime. She made the comments earlier in the week on the House floor during a debate over the proposed legislation.
She shouldn't have apologized for anything. It was a hoax.
Matthew Shepard was murdered as a result of him being a druggie, not a fag. Using his name as a justification for a so-called "hate crime" bill (or, as it is, a "thought crime" bill), is a joke. A myth that has been inflicted on us by the queer lobby.
The remarks sparked controversy, including at least 10 death threats that were phoned into the congresswoman's Washington, D.C., office.
As I was saying...
"Never apologize-it's a sign of weakness."
I dont believe I see the Congresswomans party in the article. That must mean (D)?
GOP.
That’s why it’s a story, it’s a GOP. No coverage would be giving if it was a D. Cause in point, Why isn’t that Prez Hilton being creamed for calling Miss California a “C” word? Instead, Miss California’s comment is the story. This is wrong and that Prez guy should be in BIG TROUBLE....
Homosexual agenda ping for your lists.
Well, shoot. I liked her for a few days.
So the moral of the story is... pick your victims very carefully... they can't be gay... they can't be black... but go ahead if the victim is white, heterosexual and religious...
Did I get it right?
The “hoax” she was referencing is the claim that he was killed because he was gay. It’s become apparent that the motivation was robbery.
That said, she’s not the most compelling speaker for conservatism, and often comes across rather addled. She’s almost a Kos Kidz stereotype of a conservative. I’ll take her over a Democrat, but that’s thin praise.
She is a very conservative NC Republican.
