Since the “white house press corps” are not employees of the government, but rather employees of the main stream media outlets it seems odd (not really) that Rattner would know he could use them to threaten a private citizen.
Does he have their word they will be compliant and/or complicit in such actions?
Which newspapers have agreed to help the white house destroy reputations? (once again, I know)
