Wyoming always struck me as a very independent state, perhaps for the simple reason that almost no one lives there (as Garfield the Cat explained, "Wyoming" is actually Italian for "no state here"). I mean, seriously, does anyone actually know someone from Wyoming? Sure, we all know someone who knows someone from there, but has anyone ever seen a Wyomingite personally?

There are about a dozen or so States with similar initiatives in the works. Good to see Montana's effort is IN THE BANK. I find it odd their 10th Amendment initiative failed. Go figger???

The answer isn't with some state standing up to this nonsense, it's with the rest of the public getting behind a new constitutional amendment correcting judicial abuses concerning the Commerce Clause.

A single amendment clarifying that the rights enumerated in the Fourteenth Amendment refer only to the Freedmen of the post-Civil War era would make it unnecessary to try to undo every single bad Supreme Court decision with a separate amendment. Of course, the Dems would claim the exact opposite of the truth, that such an amendment would be an attempt to reintroduce slavery. Just like them.

My brother in-law moved there about ten years ago and at first he told us he was finding it difficult to meet girls. We have yet to hear from him since. I think he was swallowed up by the vast empty space.

So to answer your question. No, I really don't know anyone anymore who is from there.
