Yup! On both sides — only because the circumstances life has afforded me gave me that job description. The purpose is to care for EACH other. When one can't, for whatever reason, the other steps up and does so. From my point of view, I wish it could have been different (I would have SO loved to have been the one protected and provided for), but you play the hand you're dealt with integrity and no excuses or whining. Sounds like you're a good man. I've just been doing the “responsible” thing for so long, I think I'd keel over if I finally got a break. ;-)

I wouldn’t say I’m a good man.
But that’s my opinion on myself.
*chuckle*
I hear you on keeling over if a break came your way.
Dunno what I’d do if I got one, probably sit and look stupefied for awhile.

I figure I’ll be sitting in the “home”, staring at a plant, blowing spit bubbles before my day comes. ;-)

I’m fairly certain I’ll meet some bizarre end, likely through some odd accident.
Would be strangely fitting.
