Gotta love those "No Bills" from Texas' Grand Juries. They do tend to give the benefit of any doubt to anyone who causes great bodily harm or death while in their own home, or on their own property, and the injured or decases person is not of their household.
The reason for the No Bill is often the unstated "He needed killin'".

Texas Grand Juries have also been known to do things like take up collections to buy the now-cleared shooter a better or larger caliber gun.
