Somebody on the Dem side wants Nancy gone if this is showing up in the NYT. Who has something to gain by her departure?

Reminds me - I’m readong The Broker, by John Grisham. Good book. ;)

This stuff is looking like a Clancy/Grisham novel.

Who has something to gain by her departure?

Obama himself. And, of course, Steny Hoyer -- but he doesn't have the clout with the Times to get a hit piece published.

Obama is taking her down because Pelosi fancied herself a separate power center. And there is also likely some bad blood between Rahm Emanuel and Miss Nancy.

Recall that Nancy put Rahm in charge of leading the Democrats to victory in the 2006 Congressional elections. He was successful and, as a result, Nancy got the Speakership.

But can you imagine what it would be like to work under Pelosi, at her direction? And how much thanks do you suppose he got for getting her where she is.

Yeah, I can believe there might be a grudge...

Steny Hoyer, in collaboration with Rahm, at least according to Rush.

“Somebody on the Dem side wants Nancy gone if this is showing up in the NYT. Who has something to gain by her departure?”

It’s one of three things:

1) Jane Harmon is getting revenge for what Pelosi recently did to her regarding Israel.
2) Steny Hoyer is getting revenge for Pelosi taking the majority leader spot from him.
3) Obama is doing this because if he does nothing, this will show weakness on his part and the blue dogs will bolt. The means nothing gets done, the Republicans win in 2010 and Obama will have a primary challenge in 2012. From who you ask?

Hillary to the Green Room please.

Who has something to gain by her departure?

Every person in the United States?
