I've been watching Pelosi pressers for the past four days and I've just got to ask (maybe some of you Californians know), what's with the sign language? Is she deaf as well as dumb?

Watched a bit of her yesterday and thought that if she is ever ship-wrecked and without a life vest, she can just hold a press conference and stay afloat for days with those hand gestures.

I have tried to avoid Pelosy and her press conferences but I hear you about the hand gestures. I watch our local news every night and I am fascinated with the hand gestures our news people make. Is that something they are taught? Is it supposed to make them appear more involved or is it a nervous reaction to being before a camera?
