Can I assume that the failure to mention party affiliation in this story means that Easly’s a RAT?

Should have known he’s a DEM. Not a word in the article.

Wiki says dem.

Usually if party is not identified in a scandal story by MSM, the subject is dem.

They always identify republicans.

Why are they investigating Easley and family?

Now that you mention it...his party affiliation (DEMOCROOK), is NOT listed in either article? Imagine that... could it be a mistake by the Drive-by media? *snort*

Some additional news, the current State of NC AG (Ray Cooper),just indicated that he won’t be running for the Senate position currently filled by Richard Burr...NOW maybe he can get off his duff and start the investigation he was afraid to begin due to losing Democrook support in NC!

Easley’s secret flights skirted the law
A group of affluent supporters flew the former governor where he wanted to go; the expensive trips, to fundraisers and vacations, were rarely reported.

The fact it wasn’t referenced in the report must mean the guy is a Democrat.

They start investigating all of this AFTER he’s been out of office for 6 months? I question the timing of this!

Weasely is a Dem.

There's more corruption here in NC than there was up north.

There's a straight-arrow AG here named Roy Cooper shining a light in a lot of inconvenient corners. Lots of roaches scurrying around.

I hadn't heard that Cooper was sitting out this run for Senate.

Bodes well on a couple of fronts.... 1) We need someone here locally to keep after the cleanup.

2) IMHO, someone told him that he'd have problems winning in 2010.

The reason the investigation did not start until recently was the fact that Easley’s travel records were not released until recently by the new Governor, Bev Perdue. It is hard to investigate travel records that are secret.
