'The CIA is America's scapegoat'; Former officer: Pelosi 'should be thrown out of her job'

Members of the CIA are most likely "seething and outraged" by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's claims the CIA misled her about its use of coersive interrogation methods, according to former CIA officer Larry Johnson.

"She was informed, the Congress was informed," said Johnson.

"This is not the first time Congress has developed a version of Alzheimer's disease in failing to remember what it was told about certain covert operations throughout history."

He spoke with Greg Corombos of Radio America/WND.

A very perceptive post indeed.

I would only add thought that the instigator of all of this kerfuffle might well have been George Soros. It appears that Obama sought to appease the MoveOn.org wing of the party and the matter simply spun out of control. That is why, as I understand it, after a very lengthy meeting in which all parties fared their views including the director of the CIA who opposed the release of the memoranda, Obama resolved not to release the memoranda. Thereafter, he was contacted by George Soros, or on his behalf, and reversed his field and announced that the memoranda would be released and that administration officials might be prosecuted.

Enter Dick Cheney and the matter began to spin out of the control of the administration. As Nancy Pelosi made revelations which increasingly made her vulnerable, would-be speakers of the house began to smell blood in the water. It is not clear whether Soros & Co. threw chum into those waters to roil them all the more in order to unseat Pelosi. It is not clear how the administration might have interacted. But I have no doubt, you are right, once the snake pit was prodded awake, the serpents were biting each other.

The CIA thought it had a deal with the Democrats, the agency would leak against the Republicans and the Democrats would permit the culture of the CIA to ripen without exposure to oversight. The appointment of Pinetta was a token of how the deal was to work. Pelosi was so inept that she, perhaps unconsciously, broke the deal.

I depart company with your analysis in that I believe that Pelosi might successfully have stonewalled Fox and talk radio but the MSM was evidently given a green light to go after her. The agents who delivered the message might well have been apparatchiks in the administration but the orders could very well have originated with George Soros. I also believe that Steny Hoyer and the rest of them must have been given a green light, I believe by Soros.

The reason I think that Soros has so much power is because he literally controls the purse. It is not just his own money which he controls but he has contrived to get most of the funds going to the 527s funneled through his apparatus. Between the purse and the brownshirts in MoveOn.org, it would take a very brave Democrat indeed to break ranks.

So I think that Pelosi is being dismantled and filleted as you do. Who is behind the curtain?

If she’s not lying, she either wasn’t listening or didn’t understand what she was being told - none acceptable for someone in her “oversight” position.

“The Republicans would be VERY stupid (like it is the first time) to make any kind of deal with Democrat faction that wants her out.”

Couldn’t agree more. When your enemy is busy destroying him/herself, stand clear and let them proceed.

Scapegoats are innocent.

Fry Pelosi as a hypocrite, certainly. But you still can't torture another human being.

I didn't make that up. The lord God almighty made that up. I don't enforce it. You fry in hellfire of your own choice.

Nasty? Yes. Vindictive? Absolutely. Dumb? I doubt it.

I see your point - this is just the way I see things regarding Pelosi.

I think she is shifty, ruthless, self preserving, reckless, coniving, and wicked.

She is not very smart. There are some evil Democrats who are very intelligent. Barney Frank is very smart. I hate the guy, but he is intelligent. Does he possess wisdom? Of course not, and we both know that.

She's busy Waterboarding!

Nancy already turned down all Sunday talk shows, she has a convenient 'family function'.

He has the votes in congress, but not the will of the people. They are waking up and the more he directly stirs the tempest teapot, the bigger his challange to ‘sell it to the people.’ Why bother to sell it, when he can have it passed with distracting We the People.

Dick Cheney should waterboard Pelosi.

It might actually be a beauty treatment, for her.

Lol, she well may be if things keep going as they have been. She says she has to attend her ‘niece's’ First Communion this Sunday. Turned out very convenient for her.

They should, they made enough jokes about President Bush.
I captured 10 frames of the youtube of Pelosi and have them in the Animation program. Want to repeat some, make it go fast and look really silly.
