In wonderful redwood City, California, the city is recruiting citzens to go out on code enforcement walks, to write down all violations, for follow up by the enforcers. the recruitment includes children, to make matters worse, they even mention it can be used for school credit. no doubt some social planners dream, turing little children into nanny state tattle tales. reminds me of stories of the commie soviets promising children a new bicycle if they report on there mom or dad being unpatriotic. this is sick, sick, sick
whatch out for this crap. they are educating the children in America to be little nazi nanny state troopers. all working for the big government, turning in their neighbors.

We still give our leftists that job around here, though I suspect it will change in the next budget year.
With all the foreclosures we have around here that are falling into disrepair, my hubby has been cutting the grass on the one next door to us (vermin and snakes were coming into our yard and no one else was doing it, so we decided to do it ourselves).
Code enforcement came around the other day, and asked my neighbor to tell whoever was mowing that lawn to stop NOW. They cant consider the house in violation and charge the bank and future owner of the home violation fines because we cut it.
I think my husband might be trying to find out what law they were commanding us to cease and desist from; volunteerism? acting neighborly? being part of a community? His christian duty? What law are we breaking? Any lawyers care to chime up? The property is not posted so thats not an issue, its a residential lot. Obviously we can’t go in the house as that has the forclosure notice and lockbox, but really, we can’t drive our lawnmower on her property?
Someone should challenge this in court with a demand to interrogate the accuser. Since the little shites have already been ruined, I would have no problem with this. Consider it a good lesson in citizenship.
