I have always bought GM cars in the past but will no longer do so. I suspect there are a lot of people who feel the way we do.
We’re just lucky we have Mercury vehicles, a division of Ford.
As I understand it though, Ford may take government funds in the near future. We can see how well that worked out for GM and Chrysler. Ford executives would have to have their heads examined if they were to follow that model.
Banks, lending institutions... what’s next?

Same here. From my first car at 17 y.o. to the present at 43 have had 12 Chevy’s. Not anymore! I’ve been looking for a reason to get that new Lexus.
Same here. I was looking for another GM pickup since the hail destroyed mine, but will go with something else.
That may be good for now but after the government nationalizes all of the car companies that is going to be a little hard to do.
And you know it’s coming.
I’m sick because I just bought a Chevy back in Sept. after owning a Ford. If I had known then what I know now!
I have 3 GM’s in my driveway right now, Silverado 2500, Suburban and a Denali. If the feds hand over GM to the unions, I will never own another
Who in their right mind would buy a car made by Government Motors?
Third generation GM buyer here. I’ve bought the last one.
Agreed. I won’t purchase anything from a state-run business. At least Ford didn’t take the bait.
I have owned 27 GM cars, have 2 now. The next one is a Ford, just for them not chasing the carrot.
I need to buy a car, and had been leaning towards a Chevrolet Envoy, since we rented one and liked it. But, not now.
