Obama goes first in a few minutes. He's speaking at the rotunda of the National Archives (you think we could get Nicholas Cage on that birth certificate thingey?) on his Gitmo policy and other man-caused calamities.
Vice President Cheney gets the rebuttal time. He's speaking at the American Enterprise Institute around 10:45 a.m. EDT.
I get a laugh out of the idea that Gitmo is a recruiting tool for AQ.
Maybe so and if it is then its probably so the terrorists could go to a tropical paradise and get fed well enough to get the average 20 lb Gitmo gain. Heck, I bet the Gitmo terrorists are living better than many Americans down on their luck.

It could be the picture of foreshadowing for the next four years. I will keep Cheney in my prayers. Conservatives need this type of action and words. McCain is incapable of what we are witnessing.
1. Cheney had a LOT to do with out foreign policy for the last 8 years. THere is something to be said for having a work horse taking care of the details.
2. This was all brought on by the selective release of Top Secret memos. I think VPDC would have been much happier to not have to discuss this at all because the program would still be TS and would still be active.
