This is in fact nuclear blackmail.

We are experiencing it as we speak. Our Commander and our People are the target. The leader is beholden to it, and putting all of us at great risk.

It is horrid isnt it? Do the American People even know of this situation? Do your friends and neighbors back there?

Ya know out of all the people on this board, I find you who is living abroad, to be the most sensible and informed about that part of the Asia. That's what happens when you live outside of the American Idol society for a time.

Yes, we ARE experiencing "nuclear blackmail" already.

So what do you think about carpet-bombing North Korea installations into oblivion? I realize they have hundreds/thousands of weapons (artillary) pointed at Seoul which is a major problem, but should we allow them to perfect their nuclear arsenal without a fight? I'm tired of this ineffectual diplomacy crap.

I don't want to see such a war, but NK nuclear arms? What say you? And what say the Japanese authorities? Personally, I'm okay with Japan building their armaments back up. I know about their Constitution and their guilt about WWII and their reluctance about nukes, but they are NOW a democracy and good people.

Again, I say destroy North Korea without warning. Of course, it won't happen, but what say you living in ground zero? Is that possible?

Sorry, forgot to answer. But no, they don't. North Korea is a non-starter in most American's lives. Has always been so (the forgotten war, et al). I personally believe those who pay a little attention still believe in the clinton/albright solution, and so they think things are fixed. Plus, the IAEA makes a lot of noise.

NK is too far away to impact them...so they believe. Sorry, our countrymen are too often distracted by immediate gratification and smooth-talking politicians.
