I think you will find that the most vocal anti-Gingrichians here used to be his greatest fans. I find it morally repugnant to criticize Bill Clinton and then turn a blind eye to Mr. Newt for what appears to be the same lifestyle. I don't extend credit for someone that appears only slightly more discrete.

Well, Bill Clinton got in trouble for making perjurious statements before a federal judge, not for having an affair, and whatever Gingrich's failings he certainly doesn't seem to have led the same lifestyle as Clinton who used political/official power to cajole employees and staffers into having sex with him. Some, like Juanita Broderick even accused Clinton of rape. It's unfair to draw a parallel there. Did Gingrich have an affair? Yes. Does it show a failing of character? Probably. Does it negate Gingrich's ideas about federal governance and public policy? No.
