I am stunned that Gen. Jones has put on the whole 0 cloak and is publicly taking on Cheney for his solid reasoning. I really thought he was one of the good guys. Guess he's been obamanized, too ... sad.

what do you expect him to say? He’s Buttcrack’s hand picked security adviser. He’s going to spin like all the rest. But let’s wait and see once NK attacks SK and Japan and Iran starts crap with Israel and terrorists attack us. Let’s see what Jones has to say then.

Oh yes...”Obama’s outreach to the Muslim world,”...

Reach out to the muslim world, and you'll draw back a bloody stump. Unfortunately, American citizens will be the ones to suffer for Obama’s cowardice appeasement.

Safer? LOL, it ain't funny.

This brings up a puzzling question: Do Obama advisers come into the administration stupid, or is it the close association with Obama that makes them stupid?

When terrorists attack us the next time, it will mostly likely be in a major U. S. city, largely populated by Obama voters. It’s irony.

I'm sure there must have been one or two British Generals who approved of Neville Chamberlain's outreach to Hitler too.

That diplomacy only got 60 million people killed!!

We'll he's right in one aspect...no worries about the muzzlims attacking with one of their own in the White House. They'll at least wait till he's out of the country on his tour of his spiritual homeland (middle east).

Must have paid off Lil' Kim well to keep them in line....

General Jones:

Jones said Obama had enhanced security with his decision to close the Guantanamo Bay war-on-terror camp, with his new strategy of fighting extremism in Afghanistan and Pakistan and in his plan to end the war in Iraq.

Jones also cited Obama's outreach to the Muslim world, including next week's major address in Egypt, renewal of U.S. alliances abroad and his plan to tackle threats as diverse as Iran's nuclear program, climate change and his forthcoming cybersecurity initiative.

responding to Dick Cheney's remarks:

"After the most lethal and devastating terrorist attack ever, seven and a half years without a repeat is not a record to be rebuked and scorned, much less criminalized," Cheney said in a speech to the American Enterprise Institute.

"To the very end of our administration we kept Al Qaeda terrorists busy with other problems.

"We focused on getting their secrets instead of sharing ours with them and on our watch they never hit this country again."

“In my view, I firmly believe that the United States is not only safe but it will be more secure and the American people are increasingly safer because of the president’s leadership that he has displayed consistently over the last four months, both at home and abroad,” Jones said.”

Whenever people make stupid statements like this, the exact opposite usually occurs in a very short while. Hang on.

Well...from the standpoint that (President-cough) Obama has probably convinced terrorists around the world that he has done a more effective job of destroying America - then they ever could dream of doing - I believe we'll have less external attacks on our shores for awhile. I don't thank the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for this outcome - because the end result is more damage than our Al-Queda friends could ever bring...
