Judge Sonia Sotomayor's Stance On Right To Choose Not Known

WASHINGTON (AP) ―

One of the few things conservatives and liberals agree on when it comes to Sonia Sotomayor is that her views on abortion rights are a mystery — and one that must be solved before she can be confirmed as a Supreme Court justice.

Sotomayor's nomination has reopened a politically and emotionally charged debate over abortion that's energized interest groups on the left and right — all working to draw members, money and attention by ensuring the issue features prominently in the judge's confirmation hearings.

This is a bunch of horse droppings. The woman has been instructed to conceal her abortion views so she can win over the stupid RINOs and avoid conservative criticism. You know once she gets on the bench (God forbid) she's going to go all out in "protecting a woman's right to choose."

This is a bunch of media BS. Anyone with half a brain knows that she’s pro baby slaughtering just like the anti-christ that appointed her

She’s going to vote on the liberal side of any issue before the court. She will join Breyer, Stevens, and Ginsburg and reliable liberal votes.

She’s a “Latina” so she’s special. Due to the richness of her experience as a “Latina”, she will make better decisions that a white man.

She’s not a typical “Latina” however. She’s not even a “Baby Mama”. What does she know about the baby mama culture?

If by "mystery" the AP means that the White House hasn't released the photos of Sotomayor signing her soul-stealing pledge to protect promote abortion in blood standing on a pentagon placed on the floor of the Oval Office, then sure, it's a mystery.

Typical media disinformation. Republican presidents never ask their judicial nominees how they would rule on abortion. That's why so many of them turn out to be pro-aborts. But the media still insist that Republicans have a “pro-life litmus test” for judges.

In contrast, Democrat nominated judges always end up being pro-abortion. Always. Yet we're told the Dems don't have a pro-abortion litmus test.

If Orwell were alive today, he'd see his novel 1984 coming true, embodied in the liberal media and elsewhere in leftdom.

If anything, her views are similar to his.

I've little doubt she's pro death but I've been thinking about going over to liberal sites and posting that because she's Catholic she's bound to be anti-choice. Feed their paranoia so they come out in opposition.

I have a feeling that this Justice is going to be more like Souter than Obama has imagined. After learning in detail about some of her decisions, it looks like she is more of strict constructionist than most liberals would like. There is even a good chance that she would be the one to make a difference on Roe Vs Wade.

Ok, pinch me. I might be dreaming.

If she were pro-life she would reveal this, so Obama'd get props for having a big tent and "listening to those who disagree with me" and all that.

But she ain't. A blind man could tell.

This kind of "well, we have to vote for her because we need a Latina on the court" crap will continue until a minority who isn't black or latino comes along who IS pro-life--then it will suddenly be about qualifications.

It'll be funny seeing all those who berated Clarence Thomas for saying he didn't have any discussions about abortion now say it's perfectly reasonable for this woman to say the same.

Obama’s campaign pledge was the pro-abortion was a LITMUS test. You can bet your sweet butt that Obama or his minions asked her. And she should be drilled about this in the confirmation hearings.

Yep, the GOP is very careful not to do this. Obama on the otherhand clearly stated in the debate abortion was a litmus test. Somehow everything the media accuses the GOP of doing without a shred of evidence, the Dems do openly with not one shred of criticism.

I'm on an Air America mailing list and they are bringing it up to try to add legitimacy. Axelrod and Emmanuel will do anything to get their person in.

It's nothing but...

One doesn’t need to ask a wine critic if they enjoy wine.

This is simply another tactic used by the left. They suggest that she might be pro life.

What a joke! There is no chance in hell that she respects the life of the unborn. This is merely an attempt to divert attention from her racism.

Hey, it’s only 50 million kids killed, and so what if millions of them were ‘Latino?’
