There's nothing like a tragic police shooting to bring a guffaw out of Rep. Charlie Rangel.

The veteran Harlem pol quipped that even President Obama, in town here for a Broadway show, should watch his back.

Harlem couldn’t be any more unsafe than the streets of Chicago where more peoople are murdered each day than in Iraq.

AIRC, sometime during the Xlinton years, some NC congressperson (maybe Jesse Helms, but I don’t remember) suggested that Xlinton might want to watch himself if he came to Fort Bragg. The MSM was all over this for better part of a week. Let’s compare the MSM reaction to this comment by Charlie. Bet the reaction won’t approach the stink they made back then.

“...they wouldn’t know if he was president of the United States,”
Charlie, don’t ya think they should since they voted for him?

What a double slap! They’re stupid and racist against their own kind, Rangel?

They don’t know a lot thanks to politicians like you that have kept them playing the role of victim. You’re a disgrace.

For some, with age, comes wisdom.

with others..

If one look at a great many that hold public offices in
New York, one has to wonder why? but then, I’m here in California where the Gub thinks Obama is groovy... and tho he hasn’t said it yet publicly, I’m sure he thinks Sotomayor is Hot Hot Hot too!

Photo of Charlie Rangel at the podium of a March 19th, 2005 Workers World Party/Troops Out Now rally in Harlem, New York. The occasion marked the 2nd anniversary of the start of the Iraq war. The photo comes from the ("We are proud to have known Kim Il Sung as a great leader and a comrade in the international communist movement. ...") Workers World Party website.

Also appearing at this "peace" rally with the demonRat Charlie Rangel, now chairman of The House Ways and Means Committee, were Saddam Hussein lawyer, Ramsey Clark and convicted terrorist enabler/attorney, Lynne Stewart. Clark, with Workers World Party, started up that other 'peace' group, A.N.S.W.E.R. Clark also heads the International Action Center and was actually once Attorney General of the United States under democrat LBJ. -etl

He's making a remark about the NYPD, not about Harlem.

Well, that's just racist.

so....what the hell does that mean?

Does Obama plan on running down the street with a gun, and when ordered to stop by police, turn around without dropping the gun?

Good grief - let’s not let FACTS get in the way of a good racial joke huh?

I think I’m catching on. Liberals and conservatives are judged differently.

You are so right. The sad thing about it is that nothing is going to change unless we fight back.

Rangel the crook. Sharpton the crook, liar, con-artist and racist; Brooks the psychopathic white and Jew hating councilman from Harlem.

This is a “trinity from Hell” and they are all New York City political and/or self-appointed “civil rights” leaders.

These guys are why the Big Apple is rotten.

Watch his back in Harlem?
How about when he goes to Egypt, Saudi Arabia or Germany?
Should he be concerned when visiting these places or is he just worried about getting offed here in the U.S.A.?
So maybe the magic negro isn’t as popular here as the media portrays?

It’ll probably be nearer the end of summer when more folks from Harlem realize they’ve been tricked into voting for the wealth destructor, then it’s more likely there will be loud conservative voices among them

Reminds me of the quote from Booker T. Washington that should be carved over the doorway leading into every school in every Big city in America: “They will continue to call us niggers as long as we continue to act that way” -Booker T. Washinton Would probably help for them to know that he was the first black man to dine in the White House with a President (Theodore Roosevelt, by the way).
