I didn't assume anything, did you catch the word "if" that I used several times? But yes, if he is a rightwinger he IS an extremist, inherently so since he just shot someone to death. Frankly, I was hoping it was a woman who he had committed infanticide on who couldn't deal with it anymore, but the description of the perp sure doesn't sound like it.
