waggy, don’t be so quick to label Tiller’s killer a murderer. He/she hasn’t been caught yet. So we have no way of knowing whether it was a coldblooded contract killer, or a man or woman deranged by the sorrow of having his/her child killed by Tiller. Or any other variations.
“Murder” implies intent. Tiller was a murderer...he always had the intent of savagely ending a human life.
The person who did this may be guilty of manslaughter, or may be innocent by reason of insanity.

While I agree with everything you say about this possibly being manslaughter or temporary insanity, it is still murder and a person who commits murder is a murderer.
