I didn’t notice it devolve. Remember that email that went around that just has a few letters of each word and we are easily able to read through the paragraph?

Our brains are familiar with a word so we often see it without noticing a misplaced letter.

What would be, in your professional view, an example of a mental illness that is fully treated and cured, so that person would no longer be considered mentally ill?

I’m not a psychiatrist, so I wouldn’t pretend to know; however, I believe there are a few mental conditions that, while not cured, are completely non-symptomatic with proper medication. But from what I’ve read, Roeder seems extremely delusional and I believe that is generally indicative of more serious problems.

That is true, but it will make first degree murder very hard to prove and maybe even second degree murder. Might only be able to get a voluntary manslaughter conviction out of the killing.

The problem is that Kansas has ridiculously strict restrictions on the death penalty. So no “you will feel a slight stick in the arm for a moment, followed by a burning sensation over your whole body that will last for all eternity” in this case.
