The Glomar Explorer supposedly raised a Soviet Sub back in the 1960's or earlier.

We do have UUV's, MUV's and other things that can go that deep.

But they need to assemble this ASAP or borrow it ASAP (if the US Navy is not going to do it).

I am not sure what resources France has in this regards, but if the US Navy chose to make this an important training exercise, it could be found before the 30 days -- at least my belief...

It may have been/most likely was the weather. I have seen a few reasonable explanations for how very severe weather could cause an accident. However, until it has been investigated, it seems premature to rule terrorism out completely.

I thought if very strange last night when they weren’t doing wall to wall coverage of the search with experts and all. I suspected terrorist because they were being quite.

Ah, my dear I failed to see the event is dated 5/27. The “This evening” reference was deceiving.

We will know when we find the black box. But weather is always a factor in an accident. It should be considered especially when they flew into this area known for thunderstorms.

I believe the French were bringing in mini-subs that could go down far enough to retrieve the black box. I also thought I read that the U.S. had been asked for help. I don’t know what King Zero’s response was, though.

If it was a bomb, some group would have already claimed responsibility for it by now.

If it was terrorism there would already be a claim by some group. They always take credit.

I'm not into all the conspiracy theories. I think if it was terrorism and "they" find out it will be reported as such.

The Obama Administration is not going to participate in a cover up of terrorism. What's the real upside? That it will help protect his "making friends with Muslims" idea? It's a crappy idea that even he doesn't really buy. It's a sop to the moonbats. A terrorist incident will allow him a graceful out of that moronic idea.

If he tries to cover it up, he's complicit after the fact in a terrorist incident, and he has no reason to trust that the governments of France or Brazil or any of the other countries with citizens involved will willingly participate in the coverup should they learn that it was terrorism.

The Obama Administration will also have no guarantees that the terrorists involved would not claim the plane and produce proof (on the internet) that they did it.

So, if it was terrorism, we'll know as soon as "they" know.

It may have been terrorism, but I don't think it's likely for a few reasons. For one, nobody claimed credit, which makes for pointless terrorism. Two, it blew up over the ocean, where no television crews could film it and there was no collatoral damage of the wreckage slamming into a city. Again, not very terroristy.

Lastly, it was Brazil and France. Not out of the question, but neither are very likely terrorist targets these days, when the world's the terrorist's oyster.

So, I'm guessing no terrorism. Something went crappy with the plane. Of course, I realize this will just mark me as in on the conspiracy, but I'm OK with that.

The commuter plane in Buffalo didn’t have a mayday call.

When planes are in trouble, sending out maydays are the last thing the pilot is worried about. They are panicking trying to save the plane.

How do you know that they didn't? Do you trust the press to report it?

Hurricanes are ‘born’ from tropical depressions North of the Equator and along the Equator off the coast of Africa. Try to get your geography right, at least!

Not immediately after 9/11.

I am not sure what resources France has in this regards,

Going back to Cousteau, the French have all been pretty cutting edge with the dive stuff. They're really into deep sea for some Frenchie reason. They'll have very good submersibles available.

Photobucket Satellite pic of the the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone.Notice the line of clouds along the Equators. Those are all thunderstorms. Air France had to cross that line.
