Two aircraft? I had not heard of that possibility. If the plane broke in two (for whatever reason) could you still get 2 debris fields that far apart? Wish I had paid more attention in physics...

I suggested it as a possibility because it isn't likely that one part of one aircraft would fly for 5-8 minutes longer than the other part without any more automatic radio transmissions.
