Why wear TWO sweaters?

I mean is it the ,”Sweat off 10 ugly pounds while
looking like you’ve gained twenty” diet?

I don’t get it.
As one who has spent numerous “summers” in Britain, the chill is extraordinarily cold and damp. Unlike the sweltering summer of 2002, everybody’s attire is typical of the Britain I visited in the Seventies and Eighties. Many establishments lack A/C in the warm temperatures but also lack heat after June 1 (landlords sometimes turn the heat off to save a few quid).
She really needs to lose those boob belts.
Somebody else on another thread said she looks like a homeless lady who wears all the clothes she's got at one time so nobody can steal them.
My Polish grandmother wore thermals, a sweater, a housecoat and another sweater to complete the ‘Babci’-look. Was cute as a button on her-she was 4’11” with her shoelaced granny shoes.
Maybe it’s a Euro-thing? Or JCrew had a BOGO sale?
All I know is my tax dollars are hard at work helping her shop-hop in Europe...must be good to be queen.
