His main claim to fame seems to be M&A — clearly not what GM needs at this point, given its disastrous track record in acquisitions (think EDS, Hughes, SAAB, Hummer, etc.). Plus with the UAW in control, every acquisition is guaranteed to wear the Reuther label!
